State Farm responded quickly. The State Farm adjuster came out and made a fast fair assessment. Less than a week later I had a check in hand. Courtney as always been there for me with a smile that comes through the phone. When I retired and moved to Marble Falls I stayed with Burklow because of Courtney. "I needed insurance basic liability insurance with an SR22. When I originally contacted this office Sylvia was the one that I was dealing with. I told her right off the bat that I needed an SR-22 because my license was suspended. Everywhere you read everybody I spoke with beforehand having to do with State farm said that this would not be an issue and an SR-22 could be obtained through State farm. Sylvia set up my policy and for two months they deducted money out of my bank account and then all the sudden I start get communications from Sylvia telling me that I never told her my license was suspended I never told her that I needed an SR22 and even though they had taken money and had made my policy concrete the underwriters weren't going to go for that. And in less than 2 months someone decided my policy was going to be canceled even after they took two months worth of payments from me. So now here I sit $200 later and no insurance and no SR22. When I questioned all of this Sylvia told me that I lied and that I never told her that I needed an SR22 and that I never told her that my license was suspended at the time the policy was being written. I had witnesses to my conversation with her before money was ever taken and before the policy was ever written. I'm not real sure why she decided to turn heel on me but now she's telling me that I won't get my refund of the money they already took even though they decided to cancel my policy not me. This is very poor business practices for any business but for somebody who needed insurance desperately to get my license back correct it's just devastating not to mention they took money and won't give it back so I can go get insurance with a more reputable company. I have never been treated so poorly I have never been treated with such disrespect calling me a liar and acting like she did nothing wrong. If you're dealing with Sylvia I feel very sorry for you and you might want to opt to deal with somebody else before she lies on you. And basically thanks for nothing State farm. They should honor a refund considering their customer service agent lied to everybody involved. I'm not sure if she did it because she gets commission for any policy that she writes I'm not sure how that works but I'm going to do everything I can to get my $200 back from State farm seems like a scam to me. I don't appreciate Sylvia calling me a liar and then acting like she doesn't want to have any further correspondence with me about any problem that I'm having about the situation. I would not recommend State farm to my worst enemy. I am a disabled widow with a child to take care of and for Sylvia to do whatever she could to get money out of me and then not give it back so I can get insurance somewhere else is deplorable behavior. I do not have one cent to spare so how am I supposed to go get insurance somewhere else? They've taken money from me and turned around and canceled my policy. Just terrible and untrustworthy behavior."
